VILLAIN COMPANY RE:STRUCTURE

A reflection on ourselves, with the Supervillain Wanted Grand Launch ahead of us

😈Hello Villains, long time no see…

This is Lucas, CEO and Co-Founder of Supervillain Labs.

Hereby, I’d like to announce that the Grand Launch of Supervillain Wanted is approaching, on April 17th, 2025.
It is going to be the beginning of the game that we have been envisioning since the global launch in July last year.

As we approach the Grand Launch, we are reflecting on the past year of development.

Last summer, we began our global launch with the mindset: “Let’s be agile and move fast. We may be lacking now, but we’ll keep improving.”
And indeed, we’ve rolled out updates almost every two weeks — filled with trials, experiments, and learning.
But to be honest, the journey so far has been chaotic and far from complete.

😓 Our game clearly had shortcomings —

When Supervillain Wanted first came out, it was supposed to be a “Villain collection character game” and a “casual growth RPG”… but it was missing important elements.

There was virtually no structure or purpose as a metagame.
Many in-game actions did not lead to meaningful rewards or challenges.
Currencies and materials were hard to obtain and not fun to use.
Villain collection and development weren’t engaging by themselves.
UI/UX was just a list of menus, not built around player flow.

These issues kept piling up, creating a scattered experience for players.
We sincerely thank all the users who endured the inconvenience amidst this chaos and continued playing with us.

🔧 So we rebuilt the game.

Over the past few months, we’ve carefully — and at times boldly — rebuilt Supervillain Wanted’s core structure with each update.

In the process, we brought users moments of inconvenience, some unsatisfactory experiences, and also some positive ones.

Now, we bring you v0.13, the RE:STRUCTURE update — the final update before the Grand Launch, v1.0.

With this update, we’ve redefined the entire gameplay route, motivation structure, growth feedback, and metagame system.
From this patch onward, the Supervillain Wanted you play will be a completely redesigned experience.

🚀 What changed in this update

The RE:STRUCTURE update was a process of reviewing our past operations and gameplay and redefining the direction of Supervillain Wanted.
The core of this change is not just system tuning, but redesigning the overall structure and flow of the game.
Before the upcoming Grand Launch, we’d like to explain the changes in this final 0.13 version update, RE:STRUCTURE.

■ Meta Game Structure Integration

If the existing gameplay was revolving simply around character growth, the RE:STRUCTURE update introduces a new flow where you will manage the entire “Villain Company,” where Captains and Villains grow together.
The overall game UI is divided into “Headquarters” and “Benefits” tabs, to help you easily see how game progress relates to accumulated gains and growth.

Better navigation ensured

■ Captain Promotion System Improved

The Captain’s growth path has been restructured to focus on progressive challenges and meaningful rewards, rather than repetitive tasks.
At each promotion point, you’ll take on a Promotion Trial — succeed, and you’ll receive clear, rewarding feedback on your growth.

Prove that you deserve that promotion!

■ Villain Growth Structure Overhaul

The max Villain level has been expanded to 1000, and combat balance has been fully revised so that each growth stage feels meaningful.
All Villain Levels will be reset, and all used growth materials will be refunded(Talent stats will remain). Now you’ll grow Villains again based on strategic planning.

A vast new horizon awaits all Villains!

■ More Engaging Villain Narratives

When players recruit a Villain for the first time, their story will be unlocked along with a one-time reward.
Also, in boss battles, the Villain who lands the final blow will speak a unique line! It will help strengthen the feeling of connection between combat and characters.

Stay awhile and listen… every Villain has a tale to tell.

■ New Challenge Content: Tower of the World

The newly added “Tower of the World” is content that challenges players with next-level difficulty.
Each floor features powerful bosses, with server-wide rankings enabling player competition. It’s PvE, but designed to deliver both challenge and achievement.

And there’s more -

■ Gear Gacha Balancing

The previous gear gacha was seen as lacking compared to the cost.
This update rebalances battery value and reward tiers so each gacha pull feels meaningful.
Batteries now become a resource that requires more strategic usage.

■ Sidekick performance and utility improvement

Sidekick performance overall has improved; especially for Legendary Sidekicks, collection and owned effects have been greatly enhanced.
They’ve been revamped so that they can be strategically useful across various content.
We’ll continue to make the differentiation among Sidekick grades more distinct, and improve Sidekick usability.

■ Codex system expansion

The more Villains ascend, the more impactful the Codex effects become.
The act of collecting is no longer merely about ownership — it will now accelerate overall growth. Actively collecting and ascending Villains will become a key strategy.

🌱 Supervillain Wanted is Just Getting Started

Supervillain Wanted😈

The Grand Launch isn’t the end — it’s the real beginning of our journey.

We’ve been wondering how we can make this game more fun and long-lasting — and now, the direction is becoming clearer.

Here’s how Supervillain Wanted will steadily, but surely, evolve:

▸ Real In-Game Rewards, Web3 Potential

Legendary Sidekicks will soon be able to farm Capsules when staked in the Capsule Workshop.

These Capsules will be automatically listed for sale and will generate revenue share for the farmer, building a player-driven asset circulation system.

▸ A Game Where You Meet Real People

The Plaza system and Friend system are coming soon, enabling real-time interaction.

Crew systems are also in the works, introducing new content where cooperation and competition coexist.

▸ Friend Invite and Point System

Invite your friends and multiply the fun!

You’ll earn points to spend in the SVL Web Shop when your invited friends enjoy playing Supervillain Wanted. The better they play, the bigger your hay!

Even better — your invited friends will receive permanent discounts in the SVL Web Shop. Playing together means playing better!

▸ Meet Our Special Guests — Collaborations

We’re teaming up with a Japanese anime IP that fits perfectly into our world. New Villains with unique designs and combat styles will soon join Supervillain Wanted.

Are you ready to welcome these special visitors from another world?

We’ll continue building Supervillain Wanted into a game that grows more exciting and immersive the longer you play —

not just with this update, but with every update to come.

See you at Supervillain Headquarters.

— With gratitude,

Lucas
